Canton City School District

The Canton City School District is the largest school system in Stark County and the 8th largest urban school in Ohio.

The Canton City Schools are known as an "OUTSTANDING School System Getting BETTER!" The administrators, teachers, and staff members all work toward this goal by offering Canton's children and the entire community the finest quality educational and co-curricular programs available. The system is comprised of twenty-four well-maintained schools -- two high schools (9-12), four middle schools (6-8), and eighteen elementary schools (K-5).

With an enrollment of over 13,000 students, and an overall average attendance rate of 93.6% the Canton City Schools compare favorably with other urban districts throughout Ohio. In addition to a strong academic program, Canton students are offered a wide variety of athletic, fine arts, and other extra-curricular activities. In addition, we have 15 preschool units at 8 different sites.
